When you meditate, you're allowing yourself to in a sense learn how to be with whatever is present. And then from there paired with therapy, you're learning how to process it,. So the two pair together. I was going to say, it's like wine and cheese, but magic is also right. Not everyone has the financial means to go to therapy.
