Stress gets a bad rap. I'd like stress er as the sort of the first gear in inner car, you know, it gives you that wonderful acceleration. But if you keep the engine in first gear, of course, you'll destroy it. That's the problem with so much of our stress these days. It's not that it's an acute, quick shift. We're, for example, night shift workers. They're running on stress to keep awake and to keep functional during the night shift. No wonder there's all those health problems associated with that group.
