How to Get Better at Programming
I think what you just said, the license to not care, it's such an important thing. When I'm teaching new programmers, I often try to drill under their head that everything you look into in programming is a giant, awesome wonderland style rabbit hole. You know, and so you really need to go down because that's a long trick. So going back to having a particular goal, I think that's also very important when you want to get better at something that you're always reasonable at.
