Introduction
Solveg Gold is a recent PhD now from Cambridge, undergraduate at Princeton. He will be joining Michael Knowles to discuss book seven of Plato's The Republic. Book 7 is the famous allegory of the case in which Socrates tries to come up with a definition for justice. Solveg: Why should philosophers rule? And why would we want that? We'll let the audience judge that for themselves.
