You have this natural desire and urge to be informed that what's going on. With social media, with the news constantly feeding us, there is a level of almost addiction here where your addicted to just information. If you want to change, if you want to shift out of that, you have to first accept, okay, this is where I'm at now. What can I do? That might mean putting down the phone. It might mean as I do with my daughters, setting a timer.
