The Difference Between ADHD and Oppositional Defined Disorder

ADHD causes ODD in many cases but usually there's a staging to them and the inattention comes first so how I tell parents to distinguish the two is that ADHD involves trouble with completing things. It's this kind of active refusal to comply that constitutes oppositional defined disorder whereas ADHD is they may start to comply but they'll never finish, she says. The two often go together 85% of the time in many clinic referrals you will see both of these going together within a matter of two to three years of ADHD developing.
