Many of us have had adverse things happen to us. It's pretty ordinary in the human condition for that to happen. And so we can become sensitive around particular experiences and wish to avoid them. I think that there's three main ways that we sort of respond to things like this. One is that we simply surrender to it and we accept that that's how it’s always going to be and we simply respond from that place of surrender. The other two are more defensive or avoidant way of being around those kinds of memories.
