The Benefits of Coherent Breathing

Box breathing is a form of meditation where you breathe in and out repeatedly. When we do it, our nervous system begins to open up - giving us more interreceptive information about the body. This makes being mindful much easier because we are aware of sensations from ten minutes ago but not conscious of them. It also helps maintain homeostasis so that's an immediate health benefit. But long term benefits can be found by doing it for 20 minutes every day.
