Do You Have a Higher Iron Dose?

When there's high dose taken daily there tends to be maybe a drop off in in some of that iron absorption. And potentially that is down to this transient increase in hepsidum calls, but that high iron dose if I'm remembering correctly. Has that played out in some of the iron supplementation literature of looking at different strategies and different timings alternate day versus daily? What is the state of the evidence there and is some of that decreased absorption with high daily doses down to the hepsidus response?
