Newton's Argument for a King in the Old Testament
The Old Testament was full of kings. Why would you need a king? If you were a conservative, a conservative minded person in the 18th century, you would assume that man is passionate and prone to violent behavior. What can glue society together can be sentiments held in common, common sense,.
