Is Your Resting Heart Rate a Bad Thing?

Your resting heart rate will elevate with excessive stress load. It's not tremendously sensitive to smaller stressors like alcohol or tobacco use. A high HRV is there indicated of a lot of variation, meaning you're pretty recovered. The amount of variation in your heart rate is actually associated with your overall sympathetic or parasympathetic state. You'll notice during times of extremely high stress, you will be very rhythmic.
