Introduction

This week we're going to recreate a panel from MassCon 30, Thinking Deeply by Mathematics Education. In particular the use of manipulatives in the mathematics classroom from age 0, age 16 and beyond. Shannon Doherty: Are they worth it? Neil Almond: We need to be using them regardless of their expense or if it's a bit of a pain having to get them out of whatever covered their gathering dust in. Shannen Doherty: I'm yet to see a concept where I haven't used manipulatives and it's been more successful than if I had.
