What Are the Targets for Impatient and Slim?
A series of influential studies in the new engliand journal of medicine about patients, specifically in critical care settings. Those studies really led to a sort of huge change, i think, in how diabetes was managed in the hospital. Most guide lines and consensus statements recommend a fasting goal of less than one forty for most hospitalized patients. But impatient hyporglycemia is very real, associated with significant morbidity.
