Our brains are really the limiters when it comes to how much effort we think we can give over any specific distance. Our body subconsciously paces you from, you know, tipping over the red line into danger zone of when your body would be in danger. There's different theories on this, in terms of, is there some sort of central governor that's literally limiting what you can do? That's where the good stuff is, is going to your perceived limits and seeing what happens.
