What Worked for Me?

One of the worst things you can do is assumed that what worked at your last adventure is going to be the play book for the next one. And i i've definitely worked for or with v p s or c x o's that brought in a play book mentality before listening to their team and customers, and fall flat. I like when i've heard a couple of times, i'm on a listening tour right now. I'm not here to make any decisions or assumptions. That seems to serve them well because, like you said, you get more information right now. You can take past experience and current cenareouh, and make even better, better choices.
