The Importance of Genetics in Running

Most people can have a view most young healthy males if they train a lot do the high intensity work and get as lean as possible can have VO2 max values in the middle high 50s or low 60s okay. Everything above that is a bonus so if somebody has biological ability and their VO2 max with training goes from you know 3 3.5 liters a minute to 5 liter a minute and they get super lean then you have something there but then you also have to have the running economy and lactate threshold. So so all roads lead to Tokyo but I guess you need to have the genetic background or you know not everyone's gonna get there right if they do the same program
