Is It the Scrimmage Analogy?
The scrimmage analogy brings in the recognition that being able to perform in an authentic way is more than just an accretion a discreet ledge and skills. I don't think understanding is just the accretion of more knowledge, i think it's a qualitatively different. We want to be building the capacity and give people, students, lots of experience to apply their learning in a scaffolded way. It goes up amid writing up. Science report is another example of something where students have to bring together multiple skills and things. S afeedback is what wat's needed.
