How to Diagnose a Bacterial Paratinitis
If there are more than 250 neutrophils, that's a big problem. It means you have some form of paratinitis. You need to do something about it, including antibiotics and other thoughts. The gram stain is something to look at. Usually it's going to be negative. And ultimately what ends up coming to the fore is that they actually have a secondary bacterial paratinitis - which is almost always very, very bad.
