The Dangers of Hindsight Bias in Behavioral Science
In one study, you aim to test whether incentivizing exercise routines would perform better than flexible incentives. You found the opposite. So what I'm wondering about is whether you're thinking about measuring those prior expectations more systematically in your research. Is it seen that this hindsight bias is quite tricky to handle? And I think we should spend more time demonstrating what expectations are and then how findings defy them.
