Zapier - You're a Remote Company?

Zapier is a totally remote company. How did you decide to go that route? It wasn't nearly as common as it is now, and it's still really not all that common. Most companies operate in the same locale. We didn't know anything about hiring. The advice we'd heard from around hiring your first folks was just hire folks you've worked with before.
