The Practice of Self Validation
The practice of self validation means allowing it to be what is, so not judging it. Even if an emotion is being activated in the current, in our current moment, that's connected to something that happened to us years ago,. It doesn't make it any less valid. So we can validate it by simply holding space and resisting the urge to shove it back down. We're taking that first step to being ok, or validating ourself.
