When we're fatigued there are biochemical changes occurring at the level of the muscle, or what we would call distal to the neuromuscular junction. But then there's a central component that's easily measured and is called 'central fatigue' It could be you're feeling too hot, your bum is hurting, your perception of the intensity of what you're doing is higher than it should be. And so many variables come into the equation.
