The idea is that by asking yourself if you can be ok with it, you open yourself up to doing something more useful in the next moment. The second invitation is to really start making this a daily practice, or at least a frequent practice. And then you will actually feel spontaneously motivated, or intrinsically motivated, to do it more and more. I think i've now seen it. Students and friends and other people in my life who've tried the practice, maybe found it a little bit annoying at first, and then after a while, notice that it's been really transformative.
