I typically find with athletes who are in this place that they either have a history of rigidly defining success in very specific ways. So much of it goes back to the ego you know like we have this idea exactly what you're saying of what success looks like or of what we're capable of and we've identified ourselves in that way so slowing down can help. I think that goes back to that immediate gratification because we are currently in a culture where everything is at our fingertips  and now we're asking you to trust us, he says.
