There's been this kind of you know underground idea for a while. It's an idea that the government academia media some corporations work together to achieve a certain political goal. So how do we make sense of this? The first book is called the managerial revolution and it was written in the early 40swritten like 1940. And he says basically all the companies are going to get run by these managers. All governments are going to be run by managers, writes Julian Zelizer. He also identifies what I would call the principal agent which is basically people who have gone to management school or technical skills.
