Deescalate the Violence - It's Not Your Job to Tell
"The goal of this is simply to stop the violence from happening. Deescalate it and give the targeted person the opportunity to leave if they want to," she says. "It's not my job to tell, you know, this woman like, Hey, you're not allowed to like stay here with your abusive boyfriend." 'You don't need to be going on any weird political rants or insulting the person who's being aggressive,' he adds.'None of this would be helpful in one of these actual situations.'
