The Four Trama Responses
We all have these four different states to respond in, frieze, fight, flight and fawn. So for example, if somebody was to attack me that was stronger, it might be in my best interest to fawn - get out of the situation. If i feel that the attack is going to happen anyway, i might go into frieze and disassociate from my body for protection. If i think that it will be helpful, i might fight back if i think hat that's going to help our flight, which is to flee the situation. The troma response occurs when an attack or an abandonment triggers this fight fly phrase so intensely that the person can't turn it
