Shalamo - The Great Writer About the Golag
Shalamo, whoam in russia, is absolutely, without question, accepted as the great writer about the golag for his short stories. He himself attached at least equal importance to his poetry. I think it's been underrated. In poems like this, these sort of themes acquire a different kind of reality. A man who spent nearly 20 years in more or less in the arctic, doubting whether or not sot of european culture will exists.
