The Importance of Clarity in Storytelling
Knowing that something bad is not necessarily going to happen to a character only takes away from your enjoyment of the scene if it's not well done. Part of that enjoyment, and like a James Bond movie or those types of films, is waiting to see the bad guy get his comeuppance. But you don't generally think he's going to die. And yet we're looking forward to watching it happen at the end. I didn't quite get that you were actually trying to teach in any particular way a structure other than just by constantly contrasting things to make them more interesting and to generate tension. Have I missed something? Oh, I did a good job. The beginning should be the opposite
