We tend to lump all the parental choices in one category. We put things like how they wear their hair, if they can color their hair red or purple and when we allow makeup into that bucket. But then we put when they get a smartphone in that same bucket, bad idea. So why do we cave? Because of culture number one, because of culture, because culture is big and we want to belong.
