I like your mention of open educational resources because it brings up a few things, one of which is it's not always an easier or immediate thing to change these arbitrary limits. I mean, textbook availability is kind of an arbitrary limit. And it's definitely something that prohibits or can stop a lot of students from taking a full part in higher education. But it is okay. I'm going to go make a free textbook. It's not like an easy immediate thing to do, right? but that's a big job to reduce this artificial scarcity, these limitations.
David Clark discusses arbitrary limits in our classes on episode 443 of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast.
