If you really commit to going 10x, then you have to shape a 10x filter. You process everything through that 10x filter, will this help me go 10x or will it not. It's very much like the English rowing team once they had the goal of going golden. They asked themselves: will this make the boat go faster? That became their filter for everything they did - and if answer is no, bang, we don't do it. The deliberate practice process helps you get to a point where you love that process as an end in itself.
