A lot of negotiation study comes from a guy named Roger Fisher out of Harvard, Harvard Law School. He and the way he came to it was that he was, I guess, like around the World War two. And he saw the war and he saw like the devastation. So for him, it really came out of being like, how can people resolve differences better than with better than by fighting with each other? That led to all the study of negotiation and that study of negotiation led to applications in business and in law and all those kinds of things.
In this episode, we sit down with negotiation expert Misha Glouberman who explains how to talk to people about things -- that is, how to avoid the pitfalls associated with debate when two or more people attempt to come to an agreement that will be mutually beneficial.
