The idea is to look at what's in front of you without all those thoughts going through your mind. The training is very, very simple and it's very effective because it's happened for me over the past year or so. In bed, I try to imagine someone sweeping. You know how like in Zen temples they just peacefully sweep the courtyard? So I have that image in my mind. A thought flows in ice, you know, sweep it away. Another pops in ice, swept it away.
