Using Squat-Based Motions in Tennis Training
The football player has external things outside their body that can be stiff and unmoveable, so that now they can just direct all their energy into pushing with force. Whereas if I have the tennis player with very few external stiff things around them, they're going to have to create their own internal levels of stiffness. That ultimately will probably reduce the pushing forces through the, you know, propulsive muscles of the body. It will probably not create enough stimulus strength or exposure to a strong enough stimulus to really be able to drive hypertrophy responses.
