The Benefits of Static Stretching
Ice baths are still one of the best things you could do to reduce inflammation, reduce soreness and recover faster so they could get more workouts in. Static stretching is another example of an overreaction and something that gets a very bad rap because there are some studies that show static stretching will temporarily weaken the muscles. A dynamic warm up should be specific to the task at hand.
