The researchers were trying to figure out why unfaithful people would engage in these risky behaviors. One reason that came up was that it could be about just the definition of monogamy itself. And because there is this cultural assumption that monogamy is just inherently safer, there may be some part of their brain that's able to justify their behaviour by thinking that, well, i'm not the type of person who needs to use condemns. You know, we didn't look at this data over time to see if there were other patterns. So so those are the things that are limiting this study.
