Questions and people can personalize these. It's really any question that helps us turn toward or open to our experience in this moment. So if we're having worried thoughts, we can get curious, huh, what thoughts am I having right now? Or how many times has this played through my head of this tape played itself? And so we create space between what's happening and us. We get to be the observer.
Addiction psychiatrist Judson Brewer, M.D. (author, Unwinding Anxiety) explains the surprising connection between bad habits and anxiety. Dr. Jud and Greg discuss how fear, worry, and evolutionary origins contribute to addictive behaviors and cycles. They explore specific techniques and a step-by-step process to effectively reduce anxiety.
