The Effect of Technical Instruction on Self-Organization
When you give people these instructions with what to do with their body, it freezes and isolates all the degrees of freedom. It prevents them from being able to self-organize. We're very guilty of this judo as well. These little details that we think are important, are not important. They're not that crucial. I've played the game, ask people that tell me that this is important to find me an example of it happening at any point in the contest. And it's just so rare,.
