The longer I work as a therapist the more I realize what I'm doing in therapy is helping people unlearn unhelpful beliefs about how they should deal with feeling bad. Pia: We're perpetuating this idea that you need these huge tool belt or toolbox of tools to use when you feel bad. The problem is it's all about learning right? It's all about what are you teaching yourself in the long term, she says. She hopes we can keep medicine comes to therapy as pure as now and don't contaminate it too much by mixing it with other methods.
