The Importance of Thinking Fast and Slow

The brain is an amazing system. We want to be really grateful for it. But the faster that something is happening, the more attached it becomes to our habit systems. And we can get into a lot of trouble when we're purely being attached to the fast reacting habit systems in the brain. Most of the time, if not more frequently than that, I think it's really healthy to put an extra half second in between that experience and whatever happens next.
