How to Improve Your Negotiation Skills

You cannot just learn to negotiate by watching a video or reading a book. You have to actually practice. Improve your skills by practicing them. Good active listening is a critical negotiation skill. Get help from colleagues, team members, advisors, experts when you prepare. While you're negotiating, bring someone to the table. Extra perspectives would really help. And again, don't turn it into a three hour postmortem. Just do a quick debrief. Take a lesson, learn and run with it. Brilliant. Action-oriented advice. Very, very good.
