Five Principles for a Healthy Nervous System
A healthy nervous system is not about being calm all the time. It's about being able to move between states and feeling like we are kind of in control of that system. The second principle was to take steps that are uncomfortable but ultimately safe. We want to treat our nervous system regulation as a daily practice of care and maintenance rather than running the tank dry or going into emergency mode.
