The lyric genius is conscious of a world of images and symbols growing out of his state of mystical self, abnegation and oneness. For the latter lives in these images, and only in them, with joyous satisfaction. He never grows tired of contemplating lovingly even their minutest traits. By this mirror of illusion, he's protected against becoming fused with the figures. So there we have it, that nitis holding to this idea of the dreamer as inherently in a state of joyous satisfaction and distance from his creation.
