John Balby was the originator of attachment theory, but he was working mostly just with children and then Mary Aintherth took a little further. There's four attachment styles: anxious, preoccupied, disorganized or fearful of voidant. And I think something that's really cool that I learned a couple of years ago is that our brain is actually already wired with secure attachment. So when we're working on becoming more secure, we're just returning to what we always have been.
