A validating fact is a fact that validates something that we already believe. In 2008, when Sarah Palin was really railing against the Affordable Health Care Act and she said that if it was passed, they were going to have death panels,. That's a story in two words, death panels. And because it validated what they already believed, they could unpack it. So that would be a validating fact.
