He has a piece in the latest issue of the L.R.B on inflation, interest rates and how efforts to depoliticise the economy no longer seem to work. The Bank of England believes that there is still persistently high inflation in the UK. But wage demands have been not quite as high as inflation - around 10% over last few months.
