The Urasian Steps

The urasian steps extend across europe and asia, with the westernmost portion located in this area north of the black sea. This region is also sometimes called the russian step. It's a transitional region between the desert areas to the south, in the near east and central asia, and the russian forest in the north. So it's basically just a grassy transitional zone that extends across two continents.
