Do You Need to Hop on a Plane to Meet the Founder?
I typically still take first meetings on Zoom. It's the most efficient way to have a 30 minute conversation, kick it off and see if there's interest peaked on both sides. I try to be transparent around what are the questions that I'm trying to answer. And then along that way, you figure out what are the natural points at which the founder gets to more of the forerunner team where we meet in person. No deal is the same, no set ups the same, right? You have to be able to adapt what your ideal process looks like.
