Is Your Product Good Enough?
When you start scaling before you have a good product, it's quite deadly. Tom Blomfield, who is now a visiting partner, but a two-time VIC founder, said this very eloquently. If you hire too fast before you have product market fit, now you have a bunch of people whose jobs depend on you not changing the product. When you have very few people really focused on is the product good enough, then you have a shot at making it really better.
